Chloris is an independent arboricultural, landscape and woodland consultancy working at the intersection of planning, design and environmental judgement.

Our team brings decades of combined experience across arboriculture, landscape design, woodland management and environmental planning. This includes work on projects ranging from private residential sites to large-scale institutional, infrastructure and multi-phase developments.

We are accustomed to supporting projects from early feasibility through planning, appeal and implementation, remaining involved to ensure that intent, compliance and delivery remain aligned.

Our work focuses on sites where trees, landscape and ecological considerations are material to decision-making - and where advice must be proportionate, defensible and tailored to context.

Margaret Wright | Director and Principal Consultant

Margaret holds a first-class honours degree in Arboriculture and Urban Forestry, as well as a first-class Master’s degree. She previously worked as a Principal Tree Officer for a London Borough and has over twenty years’ experience assessing trees in development, managing protected trees and carrying out tree risk assessments.

Her background also includes professional experience with the RHS and botanical gardens overseas, giving her a rare dual specialism in both arboriculture and landscape design.

“Our combined expertise allows us to identify potential conflicts early, avoid design pitfalls and deliver well-coordinated, inclusive landscape solutions. As a small practice, we are able to offer a responsive service with fast turnaround times, particularly for smaller developments”.
