Our landscape design work is undertaken within a planning context, integrating arboriculture, ecology and long-term management from the outset.

We design landscapes where policy, environmental constraint and delivery are inseparable - ensuring proposals are coherent, defensible and capable of being implemented as approved.

Because landscape design sits within the same practice as our arboricultural and woodland work, we are able to resolve tree retention, mitigation, planting and management as a single, coordinated process. This integrated approach reduces fragmentation, supports clearer planning outcomes, and often allows conditions to be discharged more efficiently than when disciplines are separated.

We work across a wide range of project scales, from private residential and rural estate projects to institutional landholdings, hotels, infrastructure-adjacent sites and multi-home developments.

Our experience includes detailed planting design, public realm landscapes, estate strategies and long-term landscape and woodland management plans.

Our planting and landscape strategies are informed by deep botanical knowledge and experience within managed landscapes and specialist plant collections. This allows us to develop schemes that are not only visually coherent, but ecologically robust and resilient over time. We place particular emphasis on species selection, structure, seasonal function and long-term stewardship rather than short-term visual effect.

Landscape proposals are developed with planning delivery in mind, including the discharge of conditions, alignment with approved arboricultural information and coordination with ecological objectives.

Our role is to ensure that landscape design supports the planning process rather than complicating it, and that approved schemes remain credible at implementation stage.
